Our Films
A portfolio of work
We have created about a dozen films during the last 6 years, many of them appear below. The list below starts with the most recent work and ending with one of our first project, which shows our growth over the years with artistic vision, technique and presentation.

The Shadow of the Night
This film was shot after a different film I had in pre-production fell through. Initially I had been working on a very weighty piece about gang violence and wrongful convictions, and when that fell through, I decided I needed a break, and chose to make instead a film entirely about style. The film is a silent black-and-white about a vampire and a detective who is seeking him. It is a throwback to the silent horror era, but with a contemporary cinematographic flare.
It is not currently available for viewing on the Web site because it is on the festival circuit, but stills from the film, as well as a trailer, will be online shortly.
This film was featured in the 2008 Wisconsin Film Festival.View The Shadow of the Night ››
Madison Nocturne
This 2006 film is a poetic documentary in the style of Koyaanisqatsi. It remains my favorite of all my films, although it is generally not as well accepted by the viewing public. I think that for me, it was such an intimate and romantic production experience between myself, my camera, and my city, that it is hard for me to separate that from the viewing of the film itself.
The Briefcase
This is the second film I made using film. Because of the camera I was using, no live audio could be recorded. As a result, 100% of the audio here is post production from either Foley or library sounds. I spent three hours editing the video for this film, and over 30 mixing and editing the audio.
The film is a brief, but dramatic action scene.
Bills Bills Bills
When I first started shooting on film during my sophomore year of college, I was making silent films. I was inspired by The Hire series by BMW, and wanted to try to capture some of that same excitement in my short films.
This film was screened in the spring 2006 IFVC show.
Milwaukee: A Look at Social Structure
As a Wisconsin native, one thing that has always sickened me about my state is the terrible racial segregation that is Milwaukee. During my freshman year of college, I decided to make a documentary in which I investigated the situation in Milwaukee, to try and better understand why a city could become and continue to be so racially divided.
The film, which was produced by myself and several classmates, was created as a part of an introductory film class.
Young Indiana Jones and the Samurai Sword
This film was the final "fan film" I created. I made this film after graduating high school in 2003, but before starting college. It was one of the greatest learning experiences I have had as a filmmaker.
The production was strung out over the months of June, July and August. My crew and I traveled across the entire state of Wisconsin looking for locations and filming this movie.
The summer culminated in a premiere at a local theatre. It was an incredible experience, and while the film is in many ways very primitive, there are so many things in it of which I am still very proud.

David and Justin's Excellent History Project
This film is our version of Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure. It was made for my Advanced Placement European History Class in my senior year of high school.

Homophobia PSA
I was assigned to make a public service announcement 2002, and I felt as if the issues of homophobia and prejudice towards homosexuals were some of the most prevalent in my community at the time. I made this video in the hopes that people might think twice before casually using gay slurs.
Dust in the Wind
I made this film for a film class I was taking in high school. I was attempting to tell the story of an entire generation. I would have liked to have more photos from many people's lives, but instead I had those of my grandfather, so they were the images I used. Were it not for the middle section, it might be indistinguishable from the funeral videos people have made these days, but my hope was that this film captured an element of the transience of life, more than simply a remembrance of one man.
This film was screened as part of an art exhibit in the Yahara River Gallery.
Ghostbusters III
This film was shot over the summer of 2002. It is the first film I made in which I began to take the filmmaking process more seriously. Unfortunately the project is incomplete. What we have available are the first few scenes from a film that is roughly forty-five minutes in length.
The filming is nearly complete, as it has been for several years now. Finishing it remains on the back, back-burner of priorities, but who knows, perhaps this summer I may find some time to finally release the full movie…
Lauf Nina
This film is a parody on the German film Run Lola Run. It was made for my German class during my junior year of high school. The film was directed and edited by myself and starred several classmates.
